Some plant supports try to disappear. This one was designed to be seen. The Honeycomb Moss Pole System in Matte Black is a sculptural growth column — a shadow-dark monolith that turns a climbing aroid into the centerpiece of the room.

Built for Monstera, Philodendron, and Epipremnum, it pairs the humidity retention of a closed-back pole with the presence of modern industrial sculpture. Against the deep, non-reflective black, every leaf reads brighter and greener.

Soil, moss, and plant are not included.

Designed for Drama, Engineered for Growth

  • Stackable Architecture: When your plant outgrows the column, snap another module on top. No repotting, no instability — the silhouette simply rises.
  • Honeycomb Matrix: The hexagonal faceplate builds a microclimate behind the facade, holding humidity against aerial roots while moving enough air to prevent rot.
  • Triangular Backbone: Tri-sided geometry delivers far more rigidity than a rounded pole, keeping heavy, large-leaf specimens dead vertical.
  • Matte Black Finish: A non-reflective, light-absorbing surface that anchors dark and industrial interiors and throws green foliage into sharp contrast.

Technical Specifications

  • Height: 16 inches (extendable)
  • Width: 5.5 inches
  • Material: Eco-sourced biopolymer (impact and moisture resistant)
  • Assembly: Friction-fit modular locking mechanism

In the Box

  • 1x Base Planter Anchor
  • 1x or 2x Honeycomb Extension Modules (depending on option ordered)
  • 1x Drip Cap (for easy watering)
  • 1x Drip Tray

Moss, soil, or other planting medium NOT provided.

Assembly & Care Guide

1. Build the Monolith — precision friction-fit construction. No glue or tools required.

  • Anchor: Fill the base planter with potting mix or other medium before attaching the moss system.
  • Align: Match the rails of the extension module with the base.
  • Engage: Press down firmly until the seam sits flush — you should feel a distinct mechanical "seat."

2. Load the Matrix (Moss Prep)

  • Hydrate: Soak high-quality sphagnum moss in water until fully saturated, then squeeze it out until it is damp, not dripping.
  • Pack: Feed the moss into the back of the honeycomb face. Resist overstuffing — aroid roots want airy contact and oxygen, not a compressed brick of moss.

3. Watering the Column

  • The Drip Cap: Pour water directly into the top reservoir and let gravity hydrate the moss column slowly, without washing out the substrate below.
  • Frequency: Check moss dampness every 3-5 days depending on ambient humidity.

4. Protecting the Finish (Important)

  • Heat Warning: The column is crafted from precision-extruded thermoplastic (PLA). Durable for indoor horticulture, but thermally sensitive — do not leave it in a hot car or in direct, magnified sunlight (e.g., right against a single-pane, south-facing window in summer) where temps exceed 100°F (38°C). Warping will occur.
  • Cleaning: Wipe with a damp microfiber cloth. Avoid chemical solvents or acetone.
